Not everyone arrives with a profound reason, and nobody should have to manufacture one. You have always wanted to see St. Peter's. You saw a photograph of Assisi and thought, I need to see that place. The Camino sounds incredible. Good. Go.
What we will do is make the going easy and the days worth it: a priest with the group, Mass each morning for those who want it, two bases instead of a new hotel every night, and enough time at each place to actually see it. What we will not do is interrogate you about your motives or hold a sermon over your head.
One thing, from someone who has been: Rome forces you to ask why you are there, whether you planned to or not. Is it the basilicas? An audience with the Pope? The history? The food? All of it? You do not need the answer before you book. Sometimes the journey reveals the reason.
