Map the full journey

Include arrival gateways, regional flights, and land borders. A Medjugorje journey through Croatia, for example, involves more than one country: Croatia joined the Schengen area and the euro in January 2023, while Bosnia and Herzegovina is outside the EU and Schengen; U.S. passport holders need no visa for stays under 90 days in either. Mexico requires no visa for U.S. citizens. Israel requires the ETA-IL electronic travel authorization for visa-exempt travelers. Check transit requirements as well as the destination where you will sleep.

Use current official information

Entry systems, validity rules, and application procedures can change. ETIAS, the EU travel authorization for visa-exempt travelers, is scheduled to begin in the last quarter of 2026 and will apply to U.S. citizens visiting Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, Poland, and Croatia once in force. Use government sources and verify again before travel. Do not rely on a social media post or an old itinerary that happens to match your destination name.

Keep information manageable

Store essential confirmations and copies separately from the originals and know how to access them without a working mobile connection. Share sensitive documents only through the appropriate secure process. Bold Pilgrim's ordinary inquiry form is not intended for passport numbers or document uploads.
