Before booking, explain what you hope to experience and ask whether teaching, worship, and group discussions suit your expectations. An honest conversation is more useful than assumptions.
Faith & pilgrimage · YOUR QUESTION, ANSWERED
Do I have to be Catholic to go on a Catholic pilgrimage?
No. Most Catholic pilgrimages welcome non-Catholic companions who are comfortable with the journey’s religious focus, although participation expectations depend on the organizer. Guests can attend Mass respectfully. Reception of Communion follows Catholic discipline rather than general admission to the trip: the USCCB guidelines printed in many parish missals welcome non-Catholics to the celebration and invite them to pray for unity, while reserving Communion to Catholics in a state of grace.
