What happens on a pilgrimage to Medjugorje?
Pilgrims organize their stay around the parish of St. James, whose evening program typically begins at 6:00 p.m. in summer and 5:00 p.m. in winter with the Rosary, followed by Mass and further prayer. English Mass is usually in the morning, and confessions are heard in many languages before and during the evening program. Many also walk Apparition Hill (Podbrdo), 20 to 40 minutes up for a fit walker, or Cross Mountain (Križevac), 1.5 to 2.5 hours round trip with the Stations of the Cross.
