Santiago & the Camino · YOUR QUESTION, ANSWERED
How far must I walk to qualify for the Compostela?
At least the last 100 km on foot or horseback, or the last 200 km by bicycle, walked continuously on a recognized route and ending at the cathedral in Santiago. The common 100-km starting towns are Sarria on the Camino Francés (about 115 km) and Tui on the Camino Portugués (about 115 km), each usually walked in 5–6 days. In the final 100 km the credential needs two stamps per day.
