The Local Organizing Committee has warned, in a notice dated December 10, 2025, that fraudulent websites imitating WYD branding are selling registrations and packages: official announcements come only through the official website and social accounts, and pilgrims should never give personal or payment details anywhere else. The U.S. bishops’ conference likewise states that standard registration can only be done through the official Seoul 2027 site. Note that seoul2027.org is not the official site.

A Group Leader must be a responsible adult appointed by and accountable to an ecclesial authority (a parish, diocese, congregation or movement). The leader registers the pilgrims and their documents, prepares the group, handles check-in and kit distribution, is the main contact for the organizers, and is responsible for safety and compliance with the Safeguarding Policy and Code of Conduct. Priests and deacons are registered by their Group Leader with supporting documents; bishops register through a dedicated section, and U.S. bishops contact the USCCB for instructions.

Pilgrims who need a visa can obtain an invitation letter through the registration system, and the organizers promised detailed visa information when registration opens. Short-term volunteers apply through the same system and must choose and pay for a Volunteer Package. Further details on package inclusions, procedures and deadlines were still to be announced as of October 2026.
