What the package buys depends on the letter: A packages run the full week from August 2 or 3 to August 9 and bundle accommodation, meals, a transport card, insurance and the pilgrim kit (A1, USD 310), or drop accommodation (A2, USD 270), meals (A3, USD 240) or both (A4, USD 130, transport, insurance and kit only). B packages cover the final weekend, August 7 to 9, from USD 130 to USD 190, and C packages cover only the Vigil and Closing Mass of August 7 to 8 at USD 70, or USD 80 with packed meals. The page on how much WYD Seoul costs lists every line.
The rest is the pilgrim's own. Airfare from the U.S. is the largest item; the Days in the Dioceses, July 29 to August 2, add about five days of lodging, food and transport; nights outside the package dates are booked privately; and a sleeping bag, entry permit fees, fuller travel insurance and daily spending sit outside the package. The organizers said package prices are about 10 percent higher than at previous editions.
The Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend's published figures show the scale: USD 5,669 for a full package with flights, hotels, registration and most meals, or USD 3,669 land-only, paid as a USD 500 deposit and installments through March 2027, with diocesan scholarships. Other dioceses' totals differ with the hotel standard and the length of the Days in the Dioceses, but a parish should plan on a figure in that range per pilgrim, not the package price.
