Confessions are heard in the Our Lady of Hostyn Chapel in the Crypt Church Monday to Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to noon and 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., and on Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to noon, 1:15 to 2:15 p.m. in Spanish, and 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. There are no confessions on Easter Sunday, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day or New Year's Day, and those days have their own Mass schedules. On holy days of obligation Masses are at 7:00 and 8:00 a.m., 12:10 p.m., 2:30 p.m. in Spanish and 5:15 p.m., with a vigil at 5:15 p.m. the evening before.

The shrine is at 400 Michigan Avenue NE, a five- to ten-minute walk from the Brookland-Catholic University station on the Metro Red Line, with two free visitor lots off Harewood Road and Michigan Avenue. Guided tours run Monday to Saturday at 9:00, 10:00 and 11:00 a.m. and 1:00, 2:00 and 3:00 p.m. (none on Sunday), about an hour, and the gift shop opens 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The cafeteria serves weekends only, 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Wheelchairs are available on request and the noon Sunday Mass is sign-interpreted.

The page on visiting the National Shrine covers the building, its 80-plus chapels and what to see; this one is the schedule. Times change for Holy Week, the December 8 patronal solemnity and papal or national events, so check the liturgy page the week before travel.
