San Callisto is open 9:00 a.m. to noon and 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., closed every Wednesday, with an annual closure January 13 to February 10, 2027; tours start every 30 minutes, last about 40 minutes, and online reservation is required. Children under 6 are free and 7 to 16 pay the reduced 7 euros. Buses 118, 218 and 660 reach it from Metro B Circo Massimo or Metro A San Giovanni and Arco di Travertino.
San Sebastiano, a short walk down the Appia, is open Tuesday to Sunday 9:15 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. (last entry 4:45 p.m.), closed Monday and December 7 to 27, 2026; the basilica above holds the saint's tomb and is one of the Seven Churches. Domitilla is open 9:00 a.m. to noon and 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., closed Tuesday, with the reduced ticket covering ages 5 to 15 and the only underground basilica; its wider galleries and shorter stairs suit families. Priscilla is open Tuesday to Sunday 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., closed Monday, January 12 to 26 and August 17 to 31, 2026, with 45-minute tours; Metro B1 Sant'Agnese Annibaliano is the closest stop.
Because closing days differ, a Wednesday means San Sebastiano, Domitilla or Priscilla, and a Monday means San Callisto or Domitilla. Mass can be arranged in some catacomb chapels for groups with a priest; ask the office when booking. Stairs and cool air underground are covered in can-seniors-or-wheelchair-users-visit-romes-catacombs.
