Galilee days are gentler: Capernaum, Tabgha, the Mount of Beatitudes, and a boat on the lake involve short walks between coach stops. Jerusalem days are demanding: the Old City is closed to vehicles, so the Via Dolorosa, the Holy Sepulchre, and Mount Zion are reached on foot through crowded lanes with steps, and the descent from the Mount of Olives is steep.

Bethlehem, 10 km south, takes a half day with checkpoint formalities. The stairs to Calvary and the grotto steps at Nazareth and Bethlehem have no step-free alternative.
