No. An ordinary pilgrimage cannot responsibly promise a personal meeting with the Pope. What a group can realistically plan is attendance at the Wednesday General Audience in St. Peter’s Square (or the Paul VI Hall in winter or bad weather), which usually begins about 9:00 to 9:30 a.m. Tickets are free and are requested through the Prefecture of the Papal Household. The audience is not held when the Pope is away, for example during parts of July.
The Sunday Angelus at noon in St. Peter’s Square needs no ticket at all. Attendance at a public audience or liturgy is different from a private encounter, and schedules can change.
Read promotional wording carefully. A claim such as “papal audience requested” should not be interpreted as confirmed admission or personal access.
